UAE Ministry of Higher Education Awards DSG Full Licensure

11 September 2011

The UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has renewed DSG’s qualification to offer academic programs. According to Decree 232 for 2011, issued by HE Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, DSG is fully licensed to offer academic programs through July 2016.

DSG first received licensure to offer academic programs from the Ministry of Higher Education’s Commission on Academic Accreditation in July 2008, and its Master of Public Administration (MPA) program was accredited later in October of that year. Since then, 87 public sector professionals from 19 countries have either graduated from or are currently enrolled in DSG’s Master of Public Administration program.

According to DSG Director of Academic Affairs Dr. Bassem Younes, “We are proud of the progress that DSG has made in its academic programs, and this is recognized by the re-awarding of licensure by the Ministry of Higher Education. We look forward to continue along our path to becoming a world class institution by broadening the scope of our programs, deepening our pool of highly qualified faculty, and strengthening our ties with international institutions.”

The School is currently accepting applications for its fourth cohort of MPA students; the program will begin in January 2012.
