Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government Takes Part in Fikr 12th Conference as Knowledge Partner

As a knowledge partner,the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) took part in the 12th annual Fikr Conference held in Dubai on 4-5 December under the title “ Job Creation: 80 Million Jobs by 2020 in the Arab World”.
Dr. Ali Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG, led the workshop entitled: “Future Jobs: Importance of Capacity building“.The speakers in this workshop were: Bahij Khatib, Economic Expert, Lebanon, Hend Al Muftah, Chief Executive Officer, Childhood Cultural Center, Qatar and H.E. Abdullah Mohammed AlKaram, Director General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Knowledge & Human Development Authority, Dubai.
The workshop discussed the potential to develop a full concept of future jobs. The workshop stressed the role of enhanced dialogue and planning fundamentals which provide social justice and the need to develop a vision for the future that offers opportunities for investments and development of skills which ensures a sustainable living for all groups of society.
Fadi Salem, Director of the Governance and Innovation Program moderated the session entitled: “Enabling Job Creation in the Arab World ". The key findings were presented by Hamad bin Abdullah AlAmmari, ATF Deputy Secretary General, FIKR Executive Director, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The speakers were: H.E. Ibrahim Al-Moaiqel, General Manager, Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), Saudi Arabia, H.E. Naoufel Al Jamali, Minister of Vocational Training and Employment, Tunisia and Haneen Sayed, Human Development Coordinator of the Middle East and North Africa, World Bank, Lebanon. The session highlighted the need to create new job opportunities in the Arab World through presenting the most important outputs of the report issued by Arab Thought Foundation in cooperation with PricewaterhouseCoopers, sponsored by the ministry of Labor in Saudi Arabia.
HH Sheikh Mohammed commended the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al Faisal, Chairman of the Arab Thought Foundation (ATF), an organization with vast experience in launching development, thought and cultural initiative in the Arab world.
