MBRSG at the NASPAA-Batten 2019 Global Competition, Cairo
The Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) of which Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) is a Member, organized the NASPAA Batten 2019 Global competition on Refugee Simulation on 23 February 2019 at the American University in Cairo, Egypt. The event was contested by post-graduate students from various universities in the MENA region as well as from Europe. Three MBRSG students, Saeed Ali Naqib Abdulla, Khulood Al Shehhi and Fatima Juma Ali, and Professor Mohammad Habibur Rahman participated in the Competition and received a Letter of Appreciation from the American University in Cairo. Fatima Juma Ali’s team won the first position in the Competition and became a part of the final global super judge round!. Based on real-world data analysis, the competition enhanced students’ policymaking skills in terms of balancing resources with the need for humanity. It also improved their capability of handling global public policy issues and team work.
