HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Attends Graduation Ceremony of Four Government Leadership Programs at MBRSG

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai attended the graduation ceremony of students of four government leadership programs. The ceremony was organized to mark the 10th anniversary celebrations of the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG)
 
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; His Excellency Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs and His Excellency Abdul Rahman Bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health; His Excellency Dr Anwar Bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of MBRSG; Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director-General of Dubai’s Protocol and Hospitality Department, as well as members of the Board of Trustees of the MBRSG.
 
Dr. Anwar Gargash hailed the vision of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid who launched the school in 2005 to be the first-of-its-kind research and teaching institution the Arab region to focus on governance, public policy, build future government leaders and improve higher education programmes and research and studies.
 
The commemorative ceremony was conducted by MBRSG for leadership programs hosted in conjunction with Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, Dubai Water and Electricity Authority, Dubai Culture and General Civil Aviation Authority. MBRSG also honored a number of ambassadors of knowledge and academic staff for their efforts in knowledge sharing through lectures and thought sessions.
 
In an opening speech, His Excellency Ali Seba’a Al Marri, Executive President, MBRSG, highlighted the role of Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government as a center of culture and knowledge in the UAE since its launch in 2005. He also outlined some of the major milestones and achievements of the school during the past decade.
 
Al Marri said: “The wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum in enabling leaders to build the future and his constant support have had the greatest impact in consolidating the position of MBRSG as a leading research and educational establishment for the development of the government sector and public administration in the Arab world. It is indeed an honor and at the same time a huge responsibility for our institution to carry His Highness’s name. We are encouraged to work that much harder to find a place among the best establishments in the country for applied research. We also seek to spread knowledge and share best practices in public sector while enabling leaders and policy-makers at the same time.
 
He added: “MBRSG has worked to become a leading regional educational platform for government administration. It aims to prepare leaders of the future through its distinguished and qualified team that brings to its role the highest international academic standards. As a happy outcome of our hard work and commitment, MBRSG was ranked sixth among research institutions and strategic think tanks in the Arab world, according to a study by the Abu Dhabi based Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research."
