Master Class Series: Behavior Insights
1- Overview
Behavioural Insights (aka Nudge) is increasingly used by organization leaders, decision-makers and policy makers – especially in government organizations – for developing effective policies. In the last few years, countries such as United Kingdom, Singapore and United States, as well as international NGOs such as OECD, the World Bank and the UN have created Nudge units to positively reinforce behaviours of groups of individuals and societies.
Behavioural Insights combine concepts from behavioural sciences, economics, psychology and cognitive science to design evidence-based interventions to influence the behaviour and decision making of individuals, groups and societies.
More recently, Nudge has been used in designing policies for the future, and hence plays a vital role in increasing the effectiveness of government organizations and shaping the future of nations.
To be at the forefront of this important field, therefore, it is vital that we continually capture the latest research and development in Behavioural Insights, as well as best practices and case studies from around the world.
Thus, this master class focuses on connecting new concepts and best practices in this complex and interconnected field through exploring the following topics:
- Behavioural Insights (Nudge) Fundamental Concepts
- Behavioural Insights (Nudge) Global Best Practices
- Role of Behavioural Insights (Nudge) in the Design of Policies for the Future
- Behavioural Insights (Nudge) Randomized Controlled Experiments
- Behavioural Insights (Nudge) Case Studies
