Dr. Ruchi Dass
Research Fellow (Non-Resident)
Dr. Ruchi Dass is a non-resident Research Fellow at the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government. She has dedicated over 13 years to catalyzing global health movements and harnessed the power of technology to drive groundbreaking innovation to improve health outcomes and strengthen health systems. Dr. Ruchi Dass is the Managing Director at HealthCursor Consulting Group and is regarded as one of the leading global innovators and business minds in the Healthcare IT and Analytics sector.
Dr. Ruchi Dass is an award-winning Physician and a highly valued public speaker. She is celebrated for her roles as a digital health thought leader, writer, researcher, professor, and former member of innovation working group at the World Health Organization. Dr. Dass developed analytics-driven solutions and help providers identify risky patients who require close medical attention. She also conducted a workshop with the Ministry of Health and Prevention, Dubai on the role of Artificial intelligence in Healthcare. Dr. Dass was also instrumental in developing the First gesture-controlled smartwatch (US Patent) for Women safety and health.
Dr. Dass influences public policy through advocacy and advises government, non-government, and industry partners throughout the world on leveraging advanced digital technologies to transform healthcare delivery. For her evangelism in the healthcare industry, she was felicitated by the President of India in 2013. She is a Best Healthcare ICT resource Award Recipient by State IT mission and an INTEROP Business Leader. She got recognized as one of the Top 10 Impactful Technology Leaders by Information Week. Recently, she is voted as one of the Most Influential Women in Health IT in the world by Fierce Healthcare.
Her writing focuses on technology, policy, health economics, innovation, commercialization of digital businesses, and translational research. She is a fellow at the Royal Society of Medicine, UK and jury to the most coveted GSMA Digital Health Awards in Barcelona.
Dr. Ruchi Dass holds a medical degree and has completed Postgraduate programs in Public Health and Health Informatics. She has been instrumental in leading on policy at UN Commission, WHO; organizing interest groups at ICT4D and as a participant in Digital Health societies like HIMSS Innovation community for the furthering of the field.
