Fellow of Practice (Non Resident )

Andrew Collinge is fellow of practice in Artificial Intelligence. He has fourteen years experience in data and technology leadership roles in world city government - London and more recently Dubai.  In Dubai he led the development of the first responsible AI principles and guidelines in the Middle East.  In 2022, these were updated and adopted by the UAE Federal Government.  Andrew is an authorised lead assessor for the IEEE CertifAIEd ethical AI programme.  He also delivers the IEEE CertifAIEd ethical AI assessment training course with the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, most recently teaching Dubai government and private sector representatives.  

 

Andrew’s broader work includes model policy creation for the World Economic Forum and the G20 Global Smart City Alliance in areas like urban technology governance, infrastructure management and open data.  Across all of his current projects, Andrew draws upon his experience of driving insights and value from data, of setting up complex, multi-agency technology demonstrators (e.g. through the European Commission's Horizon 2020 research programme), and of establishing digital and data collaboration vehicles such as the London Office of Technology and Innovation.
