UAE Government Enhances Leadership Capacities of Senegal’s Delegation

The UAE government, in cooperation with the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), conducted training workshops for a government delegation from the Republic of Senegal as part of the MoU signed between the two countries on government experience exchange.
Under the theme “Future Government”, workshops were delivered by the UAE Government Leadership Program (UAEGLP) and the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), and focused on different topics including leadership and managing organizations, policies development, digital transformation in the government, as well as innovating public policy and services.
The governments of the UAE and Senegal under this bilateral cooperation, conducted more than 80 training workshops involving more than 14,000 working hours and benefitting over 4,000 trainees from the government of Senegal.
Her Excellency Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, honoured participants of the training program, in the presence of His Excellency Abdulla Nasser Lootah, Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, and His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG).
His Excellency Abdullah Lootah, reiterated the UAE government’s keenness to strengthen its international partnerships in government modernization as a stepping stone to empower future governments and promote their readiness for the future through building on the experiences of the UAE in public administration.
His Excellency noted that the UAE-Senegal cooperation represents a successful model of constructive partnerships aiming to share knowledge and experiences and strengthen leadership capacities, adding that developing capacities will support Senegal’s development journey and empower the next generation of government to lead and shape the future.
For his part, His Excellency Dr Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, said: “MBRSG is constantly on the lookout for opportunities to employ our capabilities, competencies, and expertise supporting government systems across the region and the world. We rely on the UAE’s experience and the success story that is its development-driven government model, which continues to prove its efficacy in adapting to global developments and technological breakthroughs, as well as its proficiency in forecasting future trends.”
“We are committed to our role in training and upskilling government leaders, refining their expertise, and introducing them to the latest practices geared towards achieving the strategic objectives of governments,” Dr Al Marri added. “We are delighted to host the Senegalese government delegation who join our Excellence, Governance, and Sustainability in the Digital Age programme, and we will certainly continue our efforts to share our training experience with countries across the developing world in the stages ahead.”
The training program focused on various topics including enhancing government efficiency to lead through crisis, leading disruptive innovation, leadership and managing organization, public policy development, as well as deploying advanced technology to accelerate digital transformation.
The cooperation agreement between the governments of the UAE and Senegal covers several pillars, namely government services, Best m-Government Service Award, government excellence, government accelerators, government performance, leadership and capacity building, coding, government strategy, and government innovation.
