Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government launched Ten Commandments of Governance
The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) has launched the ‘Ten Commandments of Governance’, a book inspired by the 10 commandments of Governance by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The book reflects His Highness’s ambitious vision to establish a comprehensive management approach to enable government officials to continue achieving excellence and leadership across all sectors.
The ’Ten Commandments of Governance’ was launched at a press conference attended by H.E. Dr. Ali Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG; Prof. Raed Awamleh, Dean of MBRSG; and Mr. Saleh Al Hammouri, Development and Training Expert in Executive Education at MBRSG.
H.E. Ali Sebaa Al Marri said: “The Ten Commandments of Governance book is set out to shape a comprehensive scientific approach, which will serve as a reference for students and government officials when dealing with different challenges, to which they can find solutions through the futuristic vision outlined by His Highness.”
Al Marri added: “MBRSG has launched the ‘Implementation of the Ten Commandments of Governance” programme to share with the world insights into the UAE’s leading government system and transform it into a comprehensive scientific training curriculum to continue the journey of excellence in government work in the UAE and the region.
“The book also attempts to translate our wise leadership’s vision into leading projects and initiatives that help drive economic growth and enhance government services across all sectors, thus ensuring better living conditions for our people and for generations to come,” added Al Marri.
Prof. Raed Awamleh said: “The commandments of H.H. Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid constitute an advanced framework that includes an unconventional approach to government work. This is what inspired us to create this book and make it available for students, officials, employees and the community as a comprehensive administrative reference book. It allows them to draw on the philosophy of His Highness in governance, which we see reflected in the growth and development of Dubai and the UAE, and its leading position in global competitiveness indexes.”
Mr. Saleh Al Hammouri said: “The book is a valuable addition to global management sciences, and we plan to translate it to have it as an addition from the UAE and the Arab world to governmental management collections around the world. The book comprises 10 chapters representing the Ten Commandments of Governance by His Highness, and details of each commandment, offering examples from the achievements of His Highness to highlight his forward-looking governance approach. The book also contains examples of world government systems, which complement the book’s content.”
