MBRSG Launches 2nd Round of "Future trip" Programme
The Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, the first research and education institution specializing in public policy in the Arab world, has launched the second cohort of " Future Trip " program, with the participation of top leadership in the government of Dubai in light with the success witnessed for the first cohort of the program last year.
The program seeks to empower future government leaders, keep them in pace with the latest developments in the field of government management and introduce them to new technologies adopted and brief them on new government initiatives implemented at smart cities around the world, and other pivotal topics like open data, innovation, future trends, institutional excellence, etc., in collaboration with government institutions sponsoring these initiatives.
H.E. Dr Ali Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, said: "The Future Trip offers an effective and positive communication environment, aiming to promote excellence and creativity, exchanging views and ideas, and activating an effective communication between decision maker at different government entities, the trip allows participants networking and developing strategic plans, and exploring areas of cooperation to enhance the sustainable development process of the state – in light with the direction of the wise leadership - to achieve the objectives of the National Agenda for Vision 2021 and UAE Centennial 2071”
“The Future Trip initiative highlights the importance of achieving harmony in the government entities to achieve sustainable development, and improvement of the governmental institutional performance, and work together to highlight outstanding leadership models in government work based on best global practices and experiences and ways to applying them in the UAE.”
Professor Raed Awamleh, Dean MBRSG said: "After the success of the first batch of the Future trip program, MBRSG launches the 2nd edition in cooperation with a number of government entities. It is an innovative educational program for top-tier government leaders in Dubai that includes 10 visits to various government entities within the UAE. These visits will be covered within 16 days over the course of 4 months, starting from 20 February 2018. The program will conclude with a five-day visit abroad, to learn global best practices.”
The program includes knowledge visits to various government entities; MBRSG, the Federal Authority for Competitiveness and Statistics, Smart Dubai Office, the General Secretariat of the Dubai Executive Council, the Supreme Legislation Committee, the Dubai Government Human Resources Department, Dubai Future Foundation, The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center in addition to field trips to government entities abroad to identify best practices in government work.
