MBRSG and HBMSU Discuss Collaboration

Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) explored opportunities for collaboration with a delegation from the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU).

 

Dr Ali Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President, MBRSG, met with Dr Mansour Al Awar, Chancellor, HBMSU. During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance collaboration in the areas of academic curricula, training, and research.

Dr Al Marri gave an overview of MBRSG’s strategic plan and sustained efforts in building the public institution’s capacity. This was followed by a presentation on the academic programs, executive education and leadership programs offered by the school. On his part, Dr Al Awar offered insights into HBMSU’s academic and training programs and its vision of providing quality education through the use of technology and ICT solutions.

 

During the visit, an agreement was reached to use Dr Al Awar’s book Positive Energy as teaching material in the leadership programs in MBRSG. Inspired by the leadership style and thought orientation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the book focuses on the role of positive energy in personal and institutional life.

 

Dr Ali Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President, MBRSG, commended the achievements of HBMSU under the leadership of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and President of the University. Speaking on the discussions he said: “One of our primary objectives at MBRSG is to collaborate with government and academic organizations and open the doors for dialogue towards enriching knowledge. By sharing expertise and best practices, we hope to enhance public sector performance and boost competitiveness.”

 

Dr. Mansour Al Awar, Chancellor, HBMSU, said: “The visit is in line with our ongoing efforts to connect with academic and educational institutions for the exchange of experiences and know-how in organizational and administrative development. We look forward to further strengthening our academic ties in a manner that aid the growth of both the entities.”
