MBRSG and Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority Sign Agreement to Upgrade Human Capital in the UAE
The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), the first research and teaching institution focusing on governance and public policy in the Arab world, has signed an agreement with the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority (FCSA) to join efforts, promote government knowledge and empower the national workforce, as directed by the UAE leadership.
As per the agreement, MBRSG will be organising R&D-focused workshops and studies, and promoting international best practice in the services and sectors that are of interest to both parties. Moreover, the agreement calls for promoting scientific research and utilising the findings to improve government operations.
His Excellency Dr Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, MBRSG’s Executive President, said: “This agreement with the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority is a new milestone in our strategic partnership with the Authority. We look forward to extending our long-term collaboration, thus abiding by the directives of the UAE leadership, who has called for building partnerships between government entities and investing in our human capital to establish the UAE as a leader across all sectors.”
“We will work with our partners to build capacities, share expertise, stimulate innovation and implement best practices, in order to create the right environment for spreading knowledge and building a knowledge economy in the UAE. This, in turn, expedites the country’s transformation into a model for the government of the future,” H.E. Al Marri added.
Meanwhile, FCSA Director-General H.E. Abdulla Nasser Lootah, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government. This agreement marks a new step towards strengthening the strategic partnership between our two organisations. We have hosted several delegations participating in the school’s programmes in the UAE and abroad, which reflects the Authority’s role as an essential centre of knowledge, offering an environment conducive to excellence and innovation, and rooted in knowledge, transparency and best practice.”
The agreement also states that the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government will collaborate with the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority to organise debates, workshops, seminars and conferences to exchange ideas, proposals and creative programmes that boost cooperation between the two entities.
