In collaboration with MBRSG, Dubai Financial Audit Authority graduates third cohort of Government Auditor Programme
In collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, the Dubai Financial Audit Authority (FAA) celebrated the graduation of the third cohort of the Professional Diploma – Government Auditor Programme to qualify national talent for audit tasks. The programme supports government entities’ strategic objectives by strengthening governance and transparency frameworks under the FAA’s oversight.
Implemented in two phases, the programme was delivered by academics and financial experts from various institutions. The first phase focused on academic learning covering 29 modules, including artificial intelligence in auditing, International Standards in Auditing, International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS), applicable legislation, financial analysis of financial statements, enterprise risk management, and corporate governance for government entities in Dubai.
The second phase focused on practical application. In the second phase trainees participated in audit assignments to apply the knowledge gained in the first phase through hands-on, field-based learning under the supervision of audit experts from the FAA. This progressive training methodology enabled participants to acquire advanced knowledge and practical skills, enhancing their readiness to perform regulatory work efficiently in line with global best practices.
His Excellency Abdulrahman Al Hareb, Director General of the Financial Audit Authority in Dubai, said: “The graduation of the third cohort of the Professional Diploma – Government Auditor Programme reflects our commitment to building a robust regulatory ecosystem founded on qualified national talent. We equip participants with scientific tools and knowledge of professional practices that enable them to perform their duties efficiently. Fully aligned with the Government of Dubai's vision, this programme is designed to enhance regulatory frameworks and cultivate exemplary governance principles, thereby upholding the integrity and robust oversight of government entities.”
HE added: “We value our collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, which has been instrumental in creating a conducive training environment for honing the participants’ skills and preparing them to undertake more advanced regulatory responsibilities. We are confident that the graduates of this programme will be a great value addition to government entities in Dubai and they will continue to support the regulatory environment across the Emirate.”
HE Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government congratulated the graduates of the third cohort of the Professional Diploma – Government Auditor Programme. HE emphasised that this programme embodies the wise leadership's vision of investing in Emirati talent and empowering national competencies to lead institutional excellence sustainably. His Excellency further stressed that people are the fundamental pillar for building a more efficient, agile, and future-ready government system.
HE Al Marri added that the strategic partnership with the Dubai Financial Audit Authority represents an advanced model for integrating government efforts aimed at enhancing transparency and sound governance. He highlighted MBRSG’s commitment to integrating academic knowledge with practical application and equipping national cadres with the latest audit tools based on international standards and artificial intelligence technologies. This contributes to protecting national assets, supporting financial decision-making, and enhancing the efficiency and agility of government operations in line with Dubai Government’s future agenda.
The Professional Diploma – Government Auditor Programme continues to strengthen its role as one of Dubai’s leading professional development programmes, equipping participants with the foundations of effective auditing, data analysis skills, an understanding of financial legislation, and professional ethics, in addition to teaching them about the latest best practices in regulatory work.
The graduation of the programme’s third cohort reflects the commitment of government entities to developing their national talent, enhancing their ability to keep pace with rapid developments in the regulatory work environment, and building sustainable institutional practices that support the vision of the Government of Dubai.
