DSG Graduates Students from Dubai Department of Finance
On Wednesday, 61 executives from Dubai’s Department of Finance graduated from a customized executive education program provided by the Dubai School of Government. The program consisted of five training modules delivered over the course of a year and a half, and focused on disciplines such as fiscal policy, budget planning and preparation and public investment.
Held in the Dubai Police Officers Club, the ceremony was attended by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman of Emirates Group, His Excellency Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai School of Government, Major General Khamis Mattar, Deputy Commander General of Dubai Police, and a number of other officials.
Representing the Dubai School of Government, DSG Executive President HE Tariq Hilal Lootah characterized the program as a “positive example of cooperation and partnership among governmental institutions, leading toward the strengthening of public administration in Dubai.” He commended the graduates for their accomplishment, as well as the Department of Finance for its “wise management that has succeeded in navigating Dubai through the financial crisis.”
Speaking on behalf of the Department of Finance, Director-General Abdul Rahman Al Saleh stressed that the program comes in line with the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, “who continually emphasizes the importance of training the national workforce to improve capability and to achieve the goals of the country.”
At the conclusion of the ceremony of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum presented certificates to the graduates and congratulated them on their achievement.
