Arab Planning Institute, OAPEC, and MBRSG Highlight Pathways for Energy Transition and Economic Diversification in Arab States
The Arab Planning Institute, in partnership with OAPEC and the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), concluded the international conference “Empowering the Future: Energy Transition and Economic Diversification in Arab Countries,” held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Subaih Abdulaziz Al-Mukhaizim, Kuwait’s Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy and Minister of Finance.
The event brought together senior officials and experts to discuss strategies for achieving sustainable energy transformation and diversified economic growth in the Arab region. Prof. Adel Al-Waqayan, Director General of the Arab Planning Institute, underscored the importance of regional dialogue and partnerships to tackle global energy and climate challenges. H.E. Dr. Ali Bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG, highlighted the UAE’s pioneering model in clean energy and human capital development, emphasizing the need for innovation, public–private collaboration, and sustainable financing to ensure a successful energy transition.
