Dr. Hameedah Sayani
Assistant Professor
Dr. Hameedah Sayani is an Assistant Professor at the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG). Her qualifications include a Master of Business Administration and a PhD in Finance from the University of Wollongong and a PG Certificate in Higher Education from Middlesex University. A strong believer in bridging the gap between theory and practice, Dr. Sayani brings with her experience from both academia and the industry. Prior to joining MBRSG, she worked in the financial sector in Toronto, Canada and as a Non-Resident Research Consultant for the Institute of Financial Markets Pakistan. In addition, she has served as a university lecturer in Finance and Management in the UAE and Pakistan over the last decade. While her PhD thesis explored Interdependence across developed, emerging, and frontier capital markets, she has also conducted research and published several peer-reviewed journal articles across various disciplines. Moreover, she co-authored a case study that won the 2014 EFMD Case Writing Competition under the “MENA Business Cases" category. To add to her experience in academia and the corporate world, Dr. Sayani has also previously been involved in the Third Sector, having worked for the S.M.B. Fatima Jinnah Government School Reform Project and FOCUS Humanitarian Assistance in Pakistan.
