MOFAIC and MBRSG Sign MoU Promoting knowledge Sharing and Empowerment of UAE National Cadres
The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), a research and teaching institution specializing in public policy in the Arab world, has signed today a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC).
The MoU, signed at the Ministry of foreign Affairs and International Cooperation's headquarters, aims to boost collaboration, knowledge exchange and transfer, and offering training programmes.
Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, stressed that the signing of the agreement comes as a response to the directives of the UAE wise leadership represented by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme commander of the UAE armed forces that aims to promote UAE institutions efforts on knowledge sharing and empowerment of national professional cadres.
"The agreement paves the way for building and strengthening partnerships based on the accumulated knowledge and experiences, with an objective to share these experiences with other partner countries, in line with the UAE vision for 2021." H.E Al Hashimy added.
The MoU was signed H.E. Mohammed Mir Abdullah Al Raisi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and His Excellency Dr. Ali Sebaa Al-Marri, Executive President of Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, in the presence of officials from both parties.
Commenting on the signing, His Excellency Dr. Ali Sebaa’ Al-Marri pointed out that the MOU is part of a fruitful collaborative partnership between the MOFAIC and MBRSG. "The agreement was driven by shared willingness to train and empower national professional cadres at various administrative levels, and contribute to the transfer of the UAE administrative expertise to various countries by implementing the technical cooperation programmes provided by the Ministry to various countries around the globe."
Under the agreement, the two parties will seek to reinforce cooperation in the fields of scientific research, the development of governmental performance, production of research, studies and reports that tackle international cooperation. Offering training programmes, administrative consultations, and organizing workshops that explore issues of national and international cooperation were also highlighted by the agreement.
The Ministry and MBRSG also agreed on a more enhanced collaboration in the field of corporate communications. In this regard, the two parties will work together to develop official platforms and channels designed to motivate visits exchanges between representatives of government organizations, with an aim to enable participants get first-hand experience on international cooperation.
