MBRSG Explores Cooperation with Saudi Institutions

8 February 2015

A delegation from Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) visited several government institutions in Saudi Arabia to explore ways for strengthening relations and boosting cooperation in the areas of public administration, training, and executive leadership programs.

The two-day tour included visits to the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, King Saud University and the Saudi Institute of Public Administration.

Dr. Ali Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President, MBRSG, said: “The core purpose of the visit was to strengthen ties between the government and public sector organizations in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. We achieved fruitful discussions and look forward to collaborating in training and leadership programs, and building capacities through executive exchange initiatives, as well as sharing academic insights, where possible.”

Dr. Al Marri noted that cooperation already exists between MBRSG and select Saudi institutions. The synergy was further articulated in the participation of leaders from several Saudi public organizations at the Arab Leadership and Government Excellence program organized by MBRSG in 2014.

Pointing out that the program prepares leaders to deal with the multiple challenges of globalization and high degree of competitiveness among institutions, Dr. Al Marri said the lectures, case studies, practical exercises, workshops, field visits, and thought sessions by prominent regional and international guest speakers will benefit Saudi Arabia’s potential leaders to hone their leadership skills in the government sector across a variety of disciplines.
