MBRSG and FCSA to launch the 3rd edition of UAE Public Policy Forum
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) - the first research and teaching institution that focuses on governance and public policy in the Arab world - is organising the third UAE Public Policy Forum.
Titled ‘Accelerating SDGs Implementation: Future Policy Roadmap,’ the two-day event is being hosted in conjunction with the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority (FCSA) and takes place January 27-28, 2019. The forum will gather together experts and specialists from different disciplines around the world to discuss how best to meet sustainable development objectives in light of the innovations of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The UAE Public Policy Forum 2019 will address future impacts, policies, challenges and prospects for sustainable development in the UAE. It will discuss how to best formulate strategic action plans that can achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the local level, including those contained within the National Agenda for UAE Vision 2021.

It has a particular focus on formulating strategies that are versatile and flexible enough to accommodate the rapid changes and dynamic shifts that we are witnessing as a result of current scientific and technological advancements,” said H.E Dr. Ali Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG.
“In line with the ambitious national plans set by the UAE, which include long-term objectives and effective mechanisms for achieving sustainable development, the forum’s sessions will focus on deepening development policies and discuss how to implement these in the era of massive data, Artificial Intelligence, Smart Cities and global digital transformation,” he continued.
Dr. Al Marri explained that each year the UAE Public Policy Forum forum presents a new topic of discussion with several themes to be discussed through a series of panel discussions. He revealed that the forthcoming third edition of the forum will focus on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the UN, with participants benefiting from reviewing the best practices and global achievements in the field of sustainable development.
Dr. Al Marri highlighted that the forum is also an opportunity to support researchers and decision-makers in the UAE and the governments of the region, assisting them in the drawing up of effective policies across various fields and sectors that will contribute to building the sustainable societies of the future.
